With its extra surface provided by its barbs and flags, a natural bristle brush is far more efficient than one made with man-made fibers. Natural colored bristles are recommended for basting. To care for a fine brush, wash it is hot, soapy water, rinse it in clear water then wrap the bristles in paper towels or newspaper to absorb the moisture. Seal with scotch tape or a rubber band.
