Vintage Restaurant China

All of the Vintage Restaurant China sold by Bridge Kitchenware was purchased NEW by my father Fred Bridge from 1950-1972. From 1969-1972 I would accompany him on Saturday mornings to various manufacturers and restaurant dealers buying up these collections. Since then the bulk of this china has been in storage, and is now being offered for sale. All pieces are to be considred Sold Out When Gone. Imperfections do exist with most pieces.

Buffalo China

The Buffalo Pottery Company was founded in 1903 to produce only premiums for Larkin's laundry soap. In 1915 they began producing vitrified china and in 1940 Buffalo incorporated adding automated equipment and modern kilns. In 1956 Buffalo Pottery changed its name to Buffalo China Company.

Caribe China

In 1951 Sterling China purchased the Crane China Company which was founded by Iroquois China. Sterling renamed the factory Caribe China Company. The china was produced from 1951 to 1976 in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico. They used various formulas which produced opaque or slightly translucent ware.

Hall China

Hall China is a family business that began in 1903 and is still produced today in East Liverpool, Ohio. Their commercial china is heat-tempered vitrified china with non-crazing glaze.

Homer Laughlin China

The company began as Laughlin Brothers from 1873-1877, then changed names to Homer Laughlin from 1877-1896, then to Homer Laughlin China Company. Originally in East Liverpool, Ohio from 1873 to 1929, with a second plant in Newell, West Virginia from 1907 to present.

Jackson China

Jackson Vitrified China Company started in 1917 to 1976, then became Jackson China, Inc. from 1976 to 1985, both in Falls Creek, Pennsylvania. Starting in 1981 Delco International Products Corp. of NY bought the rights and formed Jackson China Marketing, Inc. with offices in Roslyn then Port Washington, NY until 1989. They produced medium to heavy guage vitrified china.

Princess/EmpCraftUSA

Princess China was sold door-to-door in the 1950's and 60's and was a division of The Empire Crafts Corp. Most of the China was made by the Jackson China Company using their established shapes and similar decorations.

Shenango China

The name started out as Shenango China Co. (1901-1905), then Shenango Pottery Co. (1905-1954), then Shenango China, Inc. (1954-1990), then Shenango China Division of Syracuse China (1990-1997). From 1959-1964 Wallace China of California became Shenango's subsidiary, as well as Mayer China from 1964-1968. Then their Castleton China & Mayer China were bought by Interpace in 1968, later divided/purchased by Anchor Hocking and Richard Rifenburgh. Products were manufactured in New Castle, PA and then Syracuse, NY.

Sterling China

Sterling China Co started in 1917 with a factory in Wellsville, OH and offices in East Liverpool, OH. In 1951 Sterling purchased Crane China, renaming them as Caribe China (1951-1976). They also purchased Wellsville China in 1959 and operated until 1969.
